Legacy
- Can Fin Homes Limited, a Housing Finance Company promoted by Canara Bank, in 1987, the International Year of Shelter for the Homeless. The Company is Incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956.
- The first HFC floated by any Nationalised Bank in the country; Founder Chairman Shri B Ratnakar.
- Main objective of setting up the Company was promoting home ownership & increasing the housing stock in the country.
- The initial shareholders of the company were, Canara Bank, Can Bank Financial Services, HDFC and UTI.
- One of the very few HFCs permitted by NHB for taking deposits from public.
- Listed in 1991; History of uninterrupted profits & dividend payment since inception with 100% dividend declared since FY16.
Focus
- To promote home ownership across the country with a motto of Friendship Finance.
- Focus on Housing Loans to individuals (89% of the loan book is for Housing and 11% for Non-Housing)
- Focus on low & middle income group individuals and first time home buyers.
- We are the preferred lenders of the salaried class. A major percentage of our loan book comes from the Salaried & Professional segment. However, during the last 5 years, we have been increasing our exposure to Self-employed & non-professional (SE&NP) category.
- Asset Quality is our main strength and major differentiator from rest of the HFCs.
Reach
- Headquartered in Bengaluru with 6 Zones.
- Pan India presence with 186 branches, 21 Affordable Housing Loan Centres (AHLCs) & 12 satellite offices; 219 outlets in total over 100 cities spread across 21 states & Union territories.
- Our conscious focus is to penetrate deeper into our known territory in Southern India while expanding to potential centres in other parts of the country.
Board
Board of Directors comprises eminent individuals with experience in public policy, administration, commercial banking & industry. Board consists of 5 Independent Directors. There are 3 promoter Directors including the Deputy Managing Director. All these distinguished persons constituting our Board of Directors enhance the functioning of the Company with their directions, guidance and suggestions from time to time

- Shares of the Company are listed in National Stock Exchange India Limited (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE).
- From a small company listed since 1991, Can Fin Homes has grown further to enter Top 500 List with a mCap of Rs.10000+ crore.

Functioning
- Loans are sanctioned by the respective branch heads and executives within their delegated powers, with a System of review by the next higher authority.
- The Company also has a system of Offsite Transaction Monitoring system (OTMS) to monitor sensitive transactions online and have real time access to information.
- The company has over 1000+ employees on its rolls.
- The Company utilises the services of Direct Selling Agents (DSAs) to source proposals / leads throughout the Country wherein the Company continues to exercise control over the credit appraisal of these proposals.
- We have a Central Credit Processing Centre and Central Disbursement System at Bengaluru.

- To align itself with the governmental policy of “Housing for all by 2022” and to give a fillip to the aspirations of persons desirous of owning a home, the Company has geared itself to provide loans under the Credit Link Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) for the Low Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) segment under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY),We have opened Affordable Housing Centres (AHLCs) specially for providing loans to the target segments.
- Our focus has been on retail lending with an average ticket loan size of about Rs.18 Lakhs under Housing Loans and Rs.9 Lakhs under NHL.

- Life Insurance
Life Insurance provides safety and security to the family of the insured by providing protection cover in case of unfortunate and untimely demise.
CFHL and Canara HSBC Life Insurance Co. Limited are jointly providing life insurance products for protecting lives and covering loans of the borrowers / customers opting for the same.
- General Insurance
CFHL has partnered with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Limited. for distribution of products such as Motor Insurance, Travel Insurance, Property Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, Marine Insurance and Liability Insurance Policies, which are approved by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

Audit & Accountability
Internal and External audit is periodically conducted in our branches and at the Registered Office. Inspection is conducted annually by our Regulator and Sponsor bank.
